The Mental Health Tribunal has made a submission to the Productivity Commission inquiry into mental health.

This Australian Government inquiry will examine the effect of mental health on people’s ability to participate in and prosper in the community and workplace, and the effects it has more generally on our economy and productivity.

Our submission is in response to the Commission’s Mental Health Draft Report released on 31 October 2019.  It is focused on how the Tribunal performs its role and the contribution of legal representation at hearings.

The final inquiry report will be handed to the Australian Government by 23 May 2020.

The Tribunal's submission is available below.
