In October 2019 we conducted our second survey of patients, carers, family and nominated persons’ experience of Tribunal hearings.

The results are now available.

The purpose of the survey was to give people invited to attend a hearing an opportunity to provide feedback on their experience.

This year we surveyed people who did not attend a hearing as well as people who attended.

Of 1,059 eligible hearing participants 110 completed and returned the survey.

Overall, the Tribunal performed well on most measures in the survey. The findings were largely consistent with those of our first survey in 2018.

The results of the survey will be used to measure the performance of the Tribunal over time, and identify opportunities to improve the experience and participation of people in hearings.

The results are available below. Many thanks to those who participated!
